Good\nhomes, good Churches and good communities are built upon godly relationships.\nThe most common cause of failure in a relationship is a failure to live by and\nrespond to God\u2019s Word, which results in the fullness of the Spirit. When a\nbeliever is filled with the Spirit of God, he or she has the mind of God to go\nthrough relationship problems correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\nshould read Ephesians 4:30 \u2013 5:18. When we are filled with the Spirit (not the\nsame as baptized with the Spirit) we manifest the fruit of the Spirit as\noutlined in Galatians 5:22-24. All interpersonal relationship problems stem\nfrom one or both parties walking in the flesh rather than walking in the\nSpirit. In other words, if you are not in tune with the Spirit of God, you will\nnot be in tune with others. Look up and read Romans 12:1-2, 9-20; 13:8-14.\nThere is something wrong with a person who continually has conflict with others\nand always has to make new friends because of relationship problems with\nothers. Friend, you should have some lasting friendships, and you will if you\nare saved and Spirit filled. Here are a few simple thoughts on developing\nlasting, Godly relationships: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2.\u00a0\u00a0 Control\nyour tongue. (James 1:26; 3:1-18) A loose tongue will destroy a godly\nrelationship. In fact, it is Satan\u2019s greatest weapon. Colossians 4:6 says, \u201cLet\nyour speech be<\/em> alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know\nhow ye ought to answer every man.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.\u00a0\u00a0 Control your temper. (Ephesians\n4:30-32, 1 Peter 2:1-3) A loose temper is not excused by the Word of God. No\nChristian should brag on having a bad temper. That Is like saying, \u201cI am\nnot under the control of the Holy Spirit.\u201d Also, it reveals that the\nperson is walking in the flesh rather than the Spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 4.\u00a0\u00a0 Don\u2019t lose sight of Satan\u2019s plan. (2\nCorinthians 2:9-11) v11 says, \u201cLest Satan should get an advantage of us:\nfor we are not ignorant of his devices.\u201d<\/strong> James 3:16 states, \u201cFor\nwhere envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Please read 1 Peter 3:7-17\nand start working today to make and maintain lasting Godly relationships.
