In the Middle Ages, as the lord of a manor lay critically ill, he asked a servant, \u201cWhat do I have to do to go to Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The servant replied, \u201cGo to the pigsty, get on your knees in the mire and muck and pray, \u2018God be merciful to me a sinner!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lord said, \u201cI couldn\u2019t possibly do that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The servant went away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the lord\u2019s sickness became worse, he sent for the servant again and asked, \u201cWhat did you say that I would have to do to go to Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The servant said, \u201cSire, you will have to go to the pigsty, get on , your knees and pray, \u2018God be merciful to me a sinner!\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell,\u201d said the lord, \u201cif that is what I have to do, I am ready to do it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The old servant smiled and said, \u201cSire, you don\u2019t really have to go, but you have to be willing to go!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psalm 10:4 says, \u201cThe wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thought.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus says, \u201cCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.\u201d (Matthew 11:28).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
