Are not our thoughts upon Heaven more than ever before with all that our world is facing at this time? We are looking forward to that time when we will be taken Home to be with Jesus, but while here on earth we cannot know anything about Heaven apart from the Word of God. Here are some things revealed in God\u2019s Word about Heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These few paragraphs by no means exhaust the subject, but may be instructive and helpful to God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God is in Heaven. \u201cIs not God in the height of heaven? \u2026\u201d<\/strong> (Job 22: 12), exclaimed Eliphaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n God\u2019s throne is in Heaven.\u201cThe LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD\u2019s throne is in heaven \u2026\u201d<\/strong> (Psalm 11:4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Lord Jesus Christ is in Heaven. \u201c\u2026this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven\u201d<\/strong> (Acts 1:11). \u201cWho is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God \u2026\u201d<\/strong> (1 Peter 3:22).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Angels are in Heaven.\u201c\u2026angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him\u201d<\/strong> (1 Peter 3:22). Of the angels, our Lord declared, \u201c\u2026 for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 18:10).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Redeemed men and women are in Heaven. \u201c\u2026 ye are come \u2026 to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect\u201d<\/strong> (Hebrews 12:22-23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The names of the Lord\u2019s followers are in Heaven. \u201c\u2026 rejoice, because your names are written in heaven\u201d<\/strong> (Luke 10:20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Treasures are in Heaven \u201cBut lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven \u2026\u201d<\/strong> (Matthew 6:20). \u201d \u2026 knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance\u201d<\/strong> (Hebrews 10:34). God \u201d \u2026 hath begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ \u2026 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you\u201d<\/strong> (1 Peter 1:3-4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Perfect knowledge is in Heaven. \u201c\u2026 behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard \u2026 said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter\u201d<\/strong> (Revelation 4:1). Paul \u201c\u2026 was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter\u201d<\/strong> (2 Corinthians 12:4). \u201cFor now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known\u201d<\/strong> (1 Corinthians 13:12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Holiness is in Heaven.\u201cAnd there shall be no more curse \u2026\u201d<\/strong> (Revelation 22:3). \u201cFor this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God\u201d<\/strong> (Ephesians 5:5). \u201cFor God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness\u201d<\/strong> (1 Thessalonians 4:7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eternal glory is in Heaven. \u201cFor our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we<\/strong> know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens\u201d<\/strong> (2 Corinthians 4:17-5:1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, then, we \u201c\u2026 wait for His Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come\u201d<\/strong> (1 Thessalonians 1:10).<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Are not our thoughts upon Heaven more than ever before with all that our world is facing at this time?
