FIRE<\/strong>: The Bible is a fire that bums up the dross of sin within us. \u201cIs not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD\u2026\u201d<\/strong> (Jeremiah 23:29).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LAMP<\/strong>: The Bible is a light for our understanding. It guides our footsteps even in the darkest night. \u201cThy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path\u201d<\/strong> (Psalm 119:105).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MIRROR<\/strong>: The Bible is a mirror for our self-examination. It reveals the stains of sin that need cleansing. \u201cFor if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was\u201d<\/strong> (James 1:23-24).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWORD<\/strong>: The Bible is a sword for our conflict. Our enemy, Satan, and all his evil hosts will flee before it when it is properly used. \u201cAnd take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God\u201d<\/strong> (Ephesians 6:17).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HONEY<\/strong>: The promises and precepts of the Bible are for our delight. \u201cMore to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb\u201d<\/strong> (Psalm 19:10).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HAMMER<\/strong>: The Bible is a hammer in that it breaks up the heart that is hardened by unbelief. \u201cIs not my word\u2026like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces\u201d <\/strong>(Jeremiah 23 :29).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEAT<\/strong>: The Bible is meat for our spiritual strengthening. \u201cBut strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil\u201d<\/strong> (Hebrews 5:14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MILK<\/strong>: The Bible is milk for our nourishment. It helps us to grow in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord. \u201cAs newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby\u201d <\/strong>(1 Peter 2:2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEED<\/strong>: The Bible is seed for our sowing. \u201cA sower went out to sow his seed\u2026Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God\u201d<\/strong> (Luke 8:5,11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOLD<\/strong>: The Bible is gold for our enrichment. \u201cThe law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver\u201d<\/strong> (Psalm 119:72).<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
