\u201cThere were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children<\/em> to them, the same became<\/em> mighty men which\u00a0were<\/em>\u00a0of old, men of renown.\u201d <\/strong>Genesis 6:4<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These giants were literal giants that were produced as a result of angels cohabitating with the \u201cdaughters of men.\u201d These are the angels that \u201ckept not their first estate.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.\u201d<\/strong> (Jude 1:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201calso after that\u201d<\/strong> (Genesis 6:4) indicates that such activity also occurred throughout the Old Testament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come<\/em> of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.\u201d<\/strong> (Numbers 13:33)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/strong>For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead\u00a0was<\/em>\u00a0a bedstead of iron;\u00a0is<\/em>\u00a0it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits\u00a0was<\/em>\u00a0the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.<\/strong><\/a>And this land,\u00a0which<\/em>\u00a0we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which\u00a0is<\/em>\u00a0by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.<\/strong><\/a>And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan,\u00a0being<\/em>\u00a0the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.<\/strong><\/a>\u201d<\/strong> <\/span>(Deuteronomy 3:11-13)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd the border came down to the end of the mountain that\u00a0lieth<\/em>\u00a0before the valley of the son of Hinnom,\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0which\u00a0is<\/em>\u00a0in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel,\u201d<\/strong> (Joshua 18:16)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height\u00a0was<\/em>\u00a0six cubits and a span.\u201d<\/strong> (I Samuel 17:4)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd Ishbibenob, which\u00a0was<\/em>\u00a0of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear\u00a0weighed<\/em>\u00a0three hundred\u00a0shekels<\/em>\u00a0of brass in weight, he being girded with a new\u00a0sword<\/em>, thought to have slain David.\u201d<\/strong> (II Samuel 21:16)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.\u201d<\/strong> (I Chronicles 20:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Satan\u2019s plan in all of this was to destroy the promised seed of Genesis 3:15 \u201cAnd I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.\u201d<\/strong>, an effort that he continues in various ways throughout the New Testament.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
