name) \u201cJHWH\u201d or Jahwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jehovah means, \u201cthe existing, the abiding, eternal, steadfast, permanent,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
dependable, true, \u201cWho is and will ever be,\u201d or, as the exalted Lord Himself<\/p>\n\n\n\n
declares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cwhich is and which was and which is to come.\u201d (Revelation 1:4,8; 4:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the most manifold way the name Jehovah gives to us a picture of<\/p>\n\n\n\n
salvation, Christian living, and experience and eternal glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are seven names of Jehovah in the Old Testament direct, also<\/p>\n\n\n\n
revealed in Psalm 23:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Jehovah-Rohi; \u2013 The Lord is my shepherd. Psalm 23: 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Jehovah-Shalom; \u2013 The Lord who is or gives peace. Psalm 23:2 (Judges 6:24)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Jehovah-Rapha; \u2013 The Lord the physician. Psalm 23:3 (Exodus 15:26)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Jehovah-Tsidkenu; \u2013 The Lord our Righteousness. Psalm 23:3, (Jeremiah 23:6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. Jehovah-Shammah; \u2013 The Lord is there, the tabernacle of God with men. Psalm 23:4 (Ezekiel 48:35)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. Jehovah-Nissi; \u2013 The Lord my banner. Psalm 23:5 (Exodus 17: 15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Jehovah-Jireh; \u2013 The Lord who provides. Psalm 23:6 (Genesis 22: 14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The one other name that sums up all the names is the name \u201cJehovah-Sabaoth\u201d; The Lord Of Host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. El \u2013 means mighty God 230 times<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. El Elyon \u2013 means most high God 32 times<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. Elohim \u2013 means Creator 2570 times<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. Jehovah; means redeeming and covenant God 6000 times<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Eloth; means strong one (Almighty) 50 times<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus altogether the names of God occur in the Old Testament over 6,000<\/p>\n\n\n\n
