The Apostle Paul wrote the church Corinth, \u201cYe are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are<\/em>\u00a0manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.\u201d <\/strong>(2 Corinthians 3:2-3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lives of Christians are about the only Bible which the world will read today, when what we has more weight than what we say and when deeds speak more loudly than words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. S. D. Gordon speaks of four great tests Character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First<\/strong>, the home test: how a man treats those with whom he lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second<\/strong>, the business test: how a man conducts himself towards his customers and employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third<\/strong>, the social test: how a man acts towards those who do not enjoy the same social advantages as himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourth<\/strong>, the success test: how a man behaves himself when favoring circumstances bring him wealth, power, position, and honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is told of a great artist that he was wandering in the mountains of Switzerland, when some officials met him and demanded his passport. \u201cI do not have it with me,\u201d he replied, \u201cbut my name is Dore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProve it, if you are,\u201d said the officers, knowing who Dore was, but not believing that this was he. Taking a piece of paper, the artist hastily sketched a group of peasants who were standing near and did it with such grace and skill that the officers exclaimed: \u201cEnough, you are Dore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world cares little for mere profession. But the man who successfully passes the four-fold test laid down by Dr. Gordon, shows without a doubt that he is genuine.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
